The recently published BBC
News Article regarding the climate for next year by Matt
McGrath states that
2016 is going to be the wamest year of all recorded times.
Due
to the continuing impact of the large El Nino starting this year until next spring
as well as the continuous temperature increase from global warming, 2016 will
have predicted temperatures more than 1°C above the average from the last
century. For the last view years already former global temperature predictions
have been outreached each other.
The El Nino phenomenon
already led to a changed Atlantic hurricane and monsoon season also impacting
winter storms in Northern Europe.
Looking at African climate it
thereby becomes more likely that climate change adaptations need to be taken
into action pretty soon in order to meet people’s needs for a steady water
supply.
